I could have done without switching rooms yet again, especially to a floor that looks like outer space of all things. Truly now, the log cabin theme was bad, but this?

To make matters worse, this contraption won't stop playing the Shin-Ra theme from the television commercials. There doesn't seem any way to make it stop or lower the volume.

Oh, and whoever saw fit to leave me a package with the old box that Jenova's cells had been in? Less than amusing. Try harder next time.

Please don't let my roommate be Kadaj or Sephiroth. That's all I ask

That was pointless and time wasting.

My room looks like a log cabin, and I can't understand a word anyone speaks.

If this is supposed to be funny, I find myself highly unamused.

I find myself highly unamused at present.

It took me nearly a week or two to slip out from under Tseng’s security to accept the invitation to this place after the failure of Kadaj’s Reunion, not to mention the time needed to make the arrangements to get here. Last night my room alternated between freezing and hot enough to fry eggs on the floor only to conclude the night with a freezing rainstorm. I go to check-out this morning only to discover that I cannot leave for some reason. My cellphone has either stopped working or there’s some sort of barrier preventing the signal from getting in. I’ve tried every number I know for Shin-Ra as well as the Turks themselves with nothing going through. The only piece of equipment I have that still works appears to be this Gadget thing.

I brought roughly two hundred thousand gil worth of electronical equipment with me, and none of it works, right down to my watch with its homing device. None of it. Tseng is most likely going out of his mind.

Amusing mental image, yes, but not a pleasant reality. He may make good on that threat to have Turks accompany to the bathroom if I ever attempt jumping off a building again. In my defense, I was dodging Kadaj’s fury. I need to find a way out of here. My company cannot run without me, and I can’t allow myself to simply languish in here. It’s like being locked in a golden cage. Pretty, but a cage nonetheless. The question for me remains why. Surely there are better people to kidnap than the President of Shin-Ra Electric Power Company.
